Information on Internships

Internships at 38 the Spot are open to college students who are interested in a career in broadcast journalism. Internships are unpaid and students must receive course credit.

Prospective interns must demonstrate initiative. Responsibilities will be determined after assessing the intern’s abilities and will increase as the intern progresses.

38 the Spot offers internships in a variety of areas and the guidelines are as follows:

• Work at least 15 hours per week
• Must dress and act as a professional
• May spend time outside the station, and represent 38 the Spot
• Must show up for scheduled shift on time

Internships are available for all semesters throughout the year. Summer internships are more in demand and students should send in applications early.
