MANHATTAN, Kan. – Denis Clemente is in a shooting zone. The Big 12 conference media is taking notice.
It named Clemente the Big 12 Player of the Week. It’s the second time Clemente has won the award.
The senior guard averaged 26.5 points and four assists in K-State’s road victories last week against Nebraska and Iowa State. He scored 23 points against the Huskers. He then had his third career 30-point performance by scoring a season-high 30 points against the Cyclones.
Clemente hit 50 percent of his shots during the week. He shot 64.7 percent from 3-point range. Clemente is tied for fourth in the Big 12 in 3-point field goals made. He has 51 this season.
