Pioli Named "Personnel Man of the Decade"

KANSAS CITY, MO- The Chiefs think they landed a good general manager this offseason in Scott Pioli. ESPN believes the Chiefs netted the best general manager of the decade.

ESPN.com is compiling a list of awards for their "All-Decade Week." Pioli earned the honor as the "Personnel Man of the Decade" by ESPN's Matt Mosely.

Pioli joined the Chiefs on January 13th after spending nine years with the New England Patriots. In that time, the Patriots compiled a 102-42 regular season record. They won three Super Bowls and won the AFC East title six times.

In his nine seasons, the Patriots won 14 playoff games. They had 11 playoff victories from 2003-07. That is the highest total in a five-year span in NFL history.
