The 38 Sports Spot George Brett Silent Auction

The item up for bid is one (1) - 8x10 signed photograph of George Brett (ARV $60). Bidding is open only to legal residents of the KMCI-TV viewing area, who are 18 years of age or older as of July 16, 2008. Void in Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories and wherever prohibited by law. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.
The silent auction runs from 7:00 P.M. Central Time Wednesday, July 16, 2008 through 7:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. To bid, viewers must watch the ‘The 38 Sports Spot’ from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Monday through Friday and when the “call now” logo and “caller number” appears on the screen, operator will begin taking phone calls. Calls will only be accepted once the “call now” and “call number” logos appears on the screen through the end of the show when the on-air personalities give notice that bidding is closed. Viewers who call in and place a bid will be put on a secure, official bidder list. Upon your phone call, a KMCI-TV associate will need the following information from the bidder in order to be an official bid: name, bid date, bid amount, home address, telephone number and e-mail address. The caller with the highest bid from Wednesday, July 16 through Tuesday, July 29, 2008 will be deemed the winner, upon verification. The winner will be announced on or about Wednesday, July 30, 2008 on ‘The 38 Sports Spot’ between 7:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Central Time. The winner will be notified by phone on or about Tuesday, July 29, 2008, after the bidding ends. The winner must be able to go to the KMCI station located at: 4720 Oak Street, Kansas City Mo 64112 the following day during 8:30 A.M. and 5:30 P.M. to verify funds and provide an official photo ID before the item is transferred to the winner and before they are publically announced. The winner must meet all eligibility requirements. If the highest bidder is not able to be reached or cannot get to the station the following day by 5:30 P.M., the next highest bidder will be deemed the winner and must follow the same criteria as above. In the event there is a tie for the highest bid, the bidder who placed the bid on the earlier date and time will be deemed the winner.
All money received will go to the Buck O’Neil Education and Research Center, 1616 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108.
