KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The first snowstorm ended Friday, but we’re not in the clear yet from snow. Another storm is headed our way.
The heaviest of the snow fell Friday morning and afternoon, while light snow lingered into the evening.
There may still be some slick spots on the roadways with temperatures near 32 degrees.
Around 1 to 4 inches of snow fell across most areas. But some areas around Grandview to Overland Park to Tonganoxie got about 6 to 10 inches of snow.
Saturday we should expect some flurries in the afternoon in most areas.
Chief Meteorologist Gary Lezak says a second storm should spread snow our way Sunday evening through Monday evening. This has potential to be a big snowstorm for most areas.
As a result, a Winter Storm Watch has been posted for most of the metro area and locations south of Kansas City.
