LINCOLN, Neb. - He's going out of his way to save money during the digital conversion.
Jacob Lindgren is creating a series of his own low-tech, digital TV antennas. He says he got the idea from an instructional web site.
Lindgren used a two by four, some metal hangers and a few screws. After he made the basic frame, he added cardboard and aluminum foil to help boost the signal. Lastly, he ran wires to connect to his DTV converter box.
Lindgren says you can buy the material for less than $10. A new antenna costs $40.
