The Kansas City Royals agreed to contracts
for the 2010 season with four players, including pitcher Dusty Hughes, on
Tuesday.
Hughes, 27, threw eight games, including one start, for the Royals last season
and went 0-2 with a 5.14 earned run average. It was his first stint in the
majors.
Also signing were pitchers Edgar Osuna and Blake Wood and catcher Manny Pina,
none of whom have seen time in the majors.
